Minimalism in Web Design

By: Lyemium Editorial | April 11, 2011

A common misconception by those who may not be familiar with the concept is that minimalism equals bare. When taking a minimalistic design approach one must take into consideration the nature of the site. That means posing the question of whether a minimalism design is suitable for the content of the site.

A minimalistic design must also be user friendly. The site must be easy to navigate, user experience should be the primary focus for a minimalist design. While there are some sites that use the term minimalism to describe a bare, many other designers and developers execute the concept quite well. We take time out to feature a list of well executed minimal web designs.
